    who’s jones..? Hadlee and Crowe were the only decent cricketers from New Zealand ever. Not sure why hadlee was knighted though, ive seen much better cricketers who havent been offered knighthood..

    7 years is a long transition period, i mean Australia, South Africa and England seem to do a perfectly good job of replacing their lost greats.. in 7 years you should have produced a few more quality players than you have, there is no excuse other than the fact that the quality of your domestic program is so terrible.. if kane williamson can make 284, phil hughes would make 600

    sadly the Indians are still a better side than New Zealand.. but about the rugby, the difference is that most other countries invest less than half of what New Zealand does into their rugby union program.. And the difference between New Zealand and a country like Australia is that in New Zealand it’s a national sport, you will be lucky to find many people outside of 2 states in Australia that play the game..

    When you look at how many New Zealanders play cricket and compare that to the amount of people that play it in Pakistan and India, New Zealand are actually very good.

    Whats with all the Vettori bashing? Were we not taught to walk in with the bowler when we were younger? And besides, trying to get into the batsman’s head is all part of the game, thats the whole point in sledging. Don’t forget, it was through Vettori’s leadership that NZ became one of the most well disciplined and gentlemanly teams in world cricket.

    So the incident in 2008 when Elliot was ran out after the bowler knocked him over preventing him from safely completing his run, and the next match Vettori runs out englands captian and doesn’t appeal. Vettori has always remained truthful on the field and playing within the rules. Sure, there are others, but why shouldn’t Vettori win?
    Shall I mention englands actions in the 2005 Ashes?

    So the team of the eighties who among with the windies being the most feared team to play against, is ignored, eh? Even the australian captian had to find ways to hold out for the draw (usually reversed) and often failed. I don’t think NZ lost a series in the 80’s. Players like Hadlee, Crowe, Jones etc.
    Bangladesh still have miles to go, NZ just need to find consistancy, which we are beginning to do.

    Well, its not uncommon for fielders to move during deliveries – you’re taught to walk in as the bowler begins his delivery. Unless Vettori was doing something stupid like jumping jacks or something, I don’t see anything wrong. I mean, we don’t even see what vettori was doing.

    Bangladesh will be fine in ODIs and T20s but still a long way off in Test Cricket though there are slight improvements in that form. If Bangladesh want to succeed even against teams like Zimbabwe and New Zealand at tests yeah they need to produce proper good fast bowlers, bouncy Cricket pitches and have first class Cricket as your first priority which at this moment isn’t the case.

    New Zealand use to be a very good Cricket team and are just in a transition. I’m sure they will climb back up one-day. Its not easy replacing players like Fleming, Astle, Styris, Cairns and Bond.

    Population is the wrong way to go about it I mean look at India 2nd most popular country in the world 1/6 of the worlds population but still an average side that can’t even produce a decent fast bowler. New Zealand though 5 million people yet has the best Rugby team on the planet.

    Sorry Kit, but new zealand are made up of about 3 good players, taylor, mccullum and southee.. when they perform, new zealand does. one of the top three fielding teams? well no doubt either australia is 1st, south africa 2nd.. england 3rd.. not sure if the ole kiwis slot in the top three mate. and bangladesh are looking good! kiwi’s are back to the drawing board for about the 10th time in the last 4 years..

    If you want to talk demographics (age etc). Bangladesh has a population of 150 million people. New Zealand has 4.4 million people. We have won more than bangladesh. And Bangladesh could perhaps be the worst in the world if you compare it by population of that country. And New Zealand perhaps the best? you really do make stupid points mate. And you probably smell like body odor and shit

    Sorry mister Pokemon guru, but New Zealand has an extremely young and inexperienced team. Inconsistent yes but brilliant at times. One of the top 3 fielding teams in world cricket. Oh im sure Bangladesh will be good, but you’re still shit at the moment. Ta

Unlike New Zealand, in my opinion they are the worst in in the world if you compare it by age, they have never won a ‘big’ competition and still don’t have a world class team.
